August 19th 2023, Ensemble “Friends of the Gamelan” at Douglass Garden, Chicago
I have the immense honor of playing a second concert in the Friends of the Gamelan ensemble (under the current artistic direction of Alex Yoffe) at the Douglass Flower Hall and Formal Garden, part of the Night Out in the Parks. While I just recently started rehearsing with Friends of the Gamelan, their ensemble has been actively performing Javanese Gamelan music for years and you can listen to them here.
