Pedro Lopes\u00a0<\/strong>is a Chicago-based musician that plays turntables<\/strong> as a full-fledged musical instrument, which means they are bowed, percussed, scratched, subversed & hacked.<\/p>\n

Pedro has played in venues such as Transmediale, Jazz em Agosto, Serralves Foundation, Ljubljana Jazz Festival, Experimental Sound Studio, Fylkingen, CCRMA, OutFest, Knockdown Center & Rescaldo and collaborated with many lovely artists: Carlos Z\u00edngaro<\/a>, <\/span>Andr\u00e9 Gon\u00e7alves<\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>Gabriel Ferrandini<\/a>, Ondness<\/a>, <\/span>Pedro Sousa<\/a>, <\/span>Dj Sniff<\/a> and in ensembles conducted by <\/span>William Winnant<\/a> (<\/span>Zorn’s Cobra<\/a>), <\/span>Reinhold Friedl<\/a> & <\/span>Ernesto Rodrigues<\/a>. Since 2023, Pedro has been learning\/playing gamelan with the Chicago Javanese Gamelan<\/a>.
